National Technology Youth Leadership Conference
I was asked by a friend to pass the following along:
Would you like to be part of the coolest Youth Technology Conference in
Canada?
Find out whether a technology-based undergraduate degree is really for you?
Experience the diverse field that is today’s world of cutting edge
technology?
The 3rd annual National Technology Youth Leadership Conference is taking
place in May 2006, where 150 high school students across Canada will
gather at Queen’s University campus to learn what it means to be a leader
and innovator in the technology sector. This conference has three general
goals:
(continued)
Show students what it means to be a leader and innovator in tomorrow’s
world of technology
Use a hands-on, interactive-event style to bring out creativity,
innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit
Show students how to take their technology skills from backpack to
briefcase, and to illustrate the keys to successful career in the
technology sector
This year, the National Technology Youth Leadership
Conference has 150 spots available at the
conference. Each attending student will
have the opportunity to interact with high profile
speakers, experience a taste of the
undergraduate university lifestyle, and
dive into an essential cross-section of the diverse
world of technology. Areas such as technology-based post-secondary
programs, engineering technology, next-generation software
development, start-up technology companies, and technology’s application
to areas such as music, health, and everyday living will be explored.
