FIRST Blogs now has Gravatars.

From gravatar.com:

“A gravatar, or globally recognized avatar, is quite simply an 80×80 pixel avatar image that follows you from weblog to weblog appearing beside your name when you comment on gravatar enabled sites. Avatars help identify your posts on web forums, so why not on weblogs?”

If you leave the image as the default when submitting a new blog the gravatar (if it exists) for the contactEmail (if provided) will be used instead; otherwise, the icon falls back to the standard default.

Every now and then when I’m searching for more blogs to add to FIRST Blogs I stumble across something that’s not a blog relating to FIRST, but, is nonetheless interesting, humorous, or just plain random. How To Survive a Robot Uprising : Tips on Defending Yourself Against the Coming Rebellion is one such page. I found several of the other pages on that site interesting, too.

Well, I’ve accomplished something that’s been on my TODO list for a while… a more effective browse page for FIRST Blogs. I think that’s about the last big thing on my current list for FIRST Blogs (until I can think of some more stuff).
