Finishing things up

I’m finally (at long last) getting a chance to finish up things that I’ve been putting off for a while. Amongst these is doing something with Tim Ginn.com. The site now shows a site with a green background and picture of me with some links rather than the previous hosting site. I’m still offering web hosting, it’s just that site never did a particularly good job of promoting it to people I didn’t already know in person (not to mention I haven’t been doing a very good job at keeping it up to date). It’s also a step forward for the plan of migrating the hosting stuff from my name to Spyral Productions which also includes Dave Di Biase (and is a registered corporation with all the limited liability benefits that entails).

Getting the business stuff straight would be very nice. It’s something that’s suffered from a lack of attention during school (it’s never been completely ignored, of course, and I always spend at least a bit of time every day; but, those things aren’t necessarily visible to the outside world).

Classes are done… now what?

Classes are done. I’m now finished with 2/5 courses (those two had final tests rather than exams). So, the next two weeks will be mostly dedicated to preparing for and writing the 3 final exams I’ve got.

The end of classes also means I’ve had some time to relax a bit and to think about what it is I’m going to do after I get my degree (as strange as it seems to me, I’m halfway through it at this point). I’m very seriously considering going to ‘Study in Australia‘ for a Master degree. From what I can tell, it’ll only take a year (since my undergraduate degree is an Honours program). Of course, there’s a lot of questions like what to study (Master of Computer Science? Information Technology? Business Administration?) and how high my marks must be to get in (conversions between Australian standards and Canadian standards are less straight-forward than they could be). All that being said, I think I’m in a better position trying to figure this out now rather than later.

Final Week of Classes

The final week of classes for me is April 3rd to 7th. In that week I’ve got two tests (one in Data Structures and one in Logic for Computing Science). After that it’s the final exam period and, I finish on the 22nd. So, if between now and then I’m not around too much, you know why.
