Dear Mondays,

Dear Mondays,

I am enjoying immensely how as my schedule sits so far you are a thing of the past (at least as courses go). I have a feeling something will change this in the near future (for example some tutorial being introduced, or what not); but, as is, I guess I get to read CD, find cool things like lego robots which assemble Lego cars (made by German Grammar school students), channel surf with StumbleUpon, perhaps watch some Torchwood when the new episodes come out and if I find I have too much time on my hands work on my Microeconomics correspondence course.

P.S. Tuesdays, that’s a nasty trick moving CISC324 after I’d printed my schedule (early last term).

Timetables

Well, timetables are up on QCARD for some people (ahead of schedule, too). So, I ran the QCARD Wrapper (which won best in show of the CISC499 projects last year) on it and this is the result:

c2q

I went to the Peterborough Countdown to Queen’s today and was strangely enough the only current (non-incoming) student there who wasn’t part of Alumni Affairs. It was cool to get a chance to see some of the frosh in person for a change (especially since some of these people I’ve been answering questions for online). Free food is a bonus, too.

It’s funny, I haven’t gone to the same c2q event twice (and I’ve gone for the past 3 years). As a frosh I went to the one in Oshawa (which hasn’t been held for the past two years), last year I went to the one in Kingston (since I was in Kingston all summer) and this year Peterborough (since even though it was an hour drive it’s still the closest one to Port Perry). The drive there wasn’t bad (though there was a big truck carrying cars which was driven into a ditch and blocking both lanes of traffic on the highway with a police directing traffic on the shoulder around it); driving back far too many people in oncoming traffic kept leaving their high beams on (which is annoying).
